Alpha 3's top moments so far

The Loop popped down to Danum to see Alpha 3 a few days ago. As well as being served the most delicious meal (more on this later!) the Loopers asked them for their top moments of Phase 3 so far. Here's what they had to say...

  • Swimming in Tembling waterfall and seeing Ulu Purut waterfall
  • Having an orangutan in camp
  • Dinner for the Loop (beanburgers, homemade chips, coleslaw, fried egg, tomato salsa bread, banana bread and chocolate sauce - we heard it was delicious and are very envious)
  • Trifle by Laura and Sarah
  • Finishing the concreting of the platform for the water tank
  • Playing basket ball
  • Angharad chasing Boris with the broom

Everyone was doing well and extremely chuffed as they had finished the concrete for the water tank. They celebrated a few days later with a barbecue and karaoke at one of the ranger's houses.

Nice work Jason!

We are really quite proud to share this TEDx talk by one of our past Venturers, Jason Tambling.

Jason was one of seven Australian aborigines who joined our Borneo expedition in spring earlier this year, working as part of an indigenous leadership programme.

Since returning home to Darwin he has been inspiring others with his story, which you can find out more about by clicking the YouTube link below.

We're also really thrilled that Jason is going to join us climbing Mount Kinabalu next month. So Jason, if you're reading this, we look forward to seeing you very soon!
