Hey Lu, Hope the diving is going/has gone well. I don't know if you'll get this before you set off back home. But, give me a call as soon as you get out the airport I have the 12th and the 13th off work but I'm not sure if you're at your Dad's for a bit or not. I finish work for good on the 19th so we can ave the rest of summer to do whatever! :D Love you loads. Absolutely can't wait to see you!!!

Hi sweetie

Was so thrilled and amused to see your wee note on the blog site. Trust you to start a Frostie's revolution!!

So glad that you're enjoying things and embracing the food selection! Not quite worked out what you're actually doing but it sounds like maybe you're counting beasties! What a laugh! With your history/aversion to creepy crawlies.

Take care and love you loads

Its a message for Eilidh Cowan from her brother John. Can you pass the message on that we didn't win the euromillions so if she meets a crocodile she knows what to do :) (it's a personal joke don't worry about her diving head first into its mouth haha)

Hi Ben (Allon-Smith)Alpha4 for phase2
(written UK evening Wed 8th Aug)

THANK YOU SO MUCH for your lovely long letter written on 20th July which arrived yesterday. It was soooo good to hear from you. I scanned and sent it to Dad and also to Nanny and Grandpa as i thought they'd be interested. Sounds as if you are working hard and also having absolutely loads of fun.
I'm wondering if you'll pick up this message at changeover which must be about now.
Have seen a few more photos on the blog from when you were on phase 1. I expect your muscles to be even bigger after all the building work!
Can't believe you'll be into the last phase which will go so fast.
Interested to hear of your fire ant bite - sounds agony. Hope you took a photo of the poisonous lizard.
I have holiday from work for 2 weeks starting Monday 13th. Can't wait. Just staying at home but will do some outings (weather permitting) and paint outside windows. You guessed - not one painted yet!
Have sent snail mail birthday cards so hope they arrive to you by 22nd.
Tilly hopes you'll bring a piece of chocolate b'day cake home for her and sends her love.
Lots of love Mum xx

Message for Carl Rietschel and Tabi Kaye (Alpha 10)

Hi all,

I hope you are having an awesome time out there in Borneo. Costa Rica was incredible and both Ed and I built a school. I hope the weather isn't too hot and humid and that you have made your camp as luxurious as possible. I can't wait to see everyone's presentation on the 4th September. Enjoy the rest of your time there. The adventure phase was hard work but incredibly rewarding for us. We ended on San Lucas prison Island and had a 24hour Survival challenge.

Good luck and see you all soon,

Mark Shepherd

Hey! It was absolutely brilliant to speak to you today, really good..you sounded so happy and surprisingly full of energy considering you had been diving for 6 days.

I will be writing another letter this weekend, I'l try not to write like a distracted 4 year old this time, and I'll send it by Hufflepuff express so it reaches you in time.

I am really looking forward to you coming home, although perhaps concerned that you are going to ask me to move into a house of leaves and sticks!

Have a brilliant time with the bears (or the other thing?), and I look forward to hearing about it soon.

Lots of love Pickleeei,
Drew XXXXXXXXXXX (what? ive been bored!)

Hello there flora McCall alpha 9!

I reckon alpha 10 get lots more fan mail than you lot - you need urgently to post photos of charming jungle creatures ( no not leeches).

Mum has sent you a letter. It costs all of 87p - so that's 60p to get it to heathrow and 27p to reach the Bornean jungle! Perhaps she'll write more. But then you'll be back before we know it - you're basically half way through!

I did my back wrestling with a particularly gnarly weed in the garden this morning so am writing this laid up in bed. Gus home tomorrow. I might just pull the sheets up over my head and have a relapse. Mum turned her ankle too so we're v crock like. Granny flash impressed with your adventure and sends her love.

As always nothing really to report - you saw that Nicky blogged you a message and liv back today I think so maybe you'll hear from her too!

Keep on digging/building/trekking

Dad and mum xxxxxxx
