The First Venturers Arrive!

Expedition 10D really got underway this morning as the first group of venturers arrived at field base...

The team all gathered to welcome the Host Country Venturers (HCVs), 6 of whom are from Kuala Lumpar along with 1 from Kota Kinabalu, who arrived a little early to help us with some final preparations.

After a tasty lunch (cooked by the wonderful Loli), the venturers headed off to TAC to learn some jungle skills, get some radio training and have a cook-off on the trangia stoves- their first taste of Raleigh rations!

Tomorrow they will be joined by another 50 ventuers of all different nationalities, marking the official start of Raleigh Borneo Summer Expedition 10D.  Let the fun begin...
