Raleigh Borneo Expedition 10D: A Good Job Well Done!

Ten manic weeks of travelling, training, toiling and trekking came to an end today as we bid a fond farewell to all of the venturers who have worked so hard to make Expedition 10D the massive success that it has been.  As I speak, they are flying high in the sky homeward bound.  Their last couple of days in sunny Sabah were spent at Borneo Paradise where they turned in their equipment to the logs boys, took part in one final 'Skit Factor' competition, and reflected on their time spent here (with the help of an excellent photo slideshow put together by our beloved photographer John).

They were then whisked away to the beautiful white shores of Bukit Naga where the spent the day swimming and tanning, and the evening eating Loli's fabulous bbq food and dancing to DJ Gerrard's awsome tunes.

Over the course of Expedition 10D, six alpha groups worked tirelessly for three phases to construct a kindergarten in Kampung Maliau Layung, build a community workshop at Pulau Maliangin Besar, develope infrastructure at Imbak Canyon, create a boardwalk at the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, trek for two weeks through the deepest jungle and complete a PADI dive course.  Not job done, but a good job well done.

Goodbye to all those involved in Raleigh Borneo Expedition 10D and goodluck in all that you do.  Remember, don't be strangers- this is zero listening out on channels one and two...
