Alpha Three Venture Into The Unknown!

Into the heart of Borneo they went...

To Rangers Camp at Imbak Canyon

Where they took in the beautiful sunset

And feasted on Raleigh rations

in their very own Come Dine With Me Competition.

They trekked to BBC Camp where they worked....

And played in Imbak's own Niagra Falls

What a journey.  What a place.  What a group.

Hi Babes!
It was so good to speak to you during the changeover, to hear some of your anecdotes of life in Alpha One and that your next section is with Alpha Three in Imbak Canyon.
I'm afraid that I 'fell off the wagon' tonight re not feeding the foxes. Richard and I spent the day together, (I'll tell you about it in my next letter), and we had steak when we got home. There was a lot left over and I couldn't resist the pleasure of distributing it around their nightly circuit. During my walk I saw Bruce, Limping Fox, (not limping much now), and the child fox, (formerly known as the baby fox), and I saw three separate 'feedings'. If I was reported, it would have been without the company of the 'tall, sneezing one'!

Hi Babes!
I've just created my best ever arrangement for Robbie! Using the box that the wireless router came in, he now has three storeys - all completely secure - with loads of cover. He immediately explored all three; he wasn't weedy about climbing around -he loved it!
I've seen both mice siblings together again, so they are ok at time of writing. Like the local birds, they hang around whilst I put out the food in the morning. Can't say that I've seen Mouse recently.
I've got Australian Come Dine With Me on in the background. The commentator is trying to adopt the manner of our English narrator - sounds bizarre with the accent!
The plastering may get done next week.
Uni house deposit has been returned, (don't know if told you that in earlier 'comment'?).
I hope that the middle section is going well and that Imbak is as fantastic as it looks.

All is well here. Saw the Teeder clan yesterday. Toby and Percy had haircuts which suits them both. R & D are well and look up at the mere mention of your name. Left message on Kat's voicemail but will catch up with her.

Just back from the shops - sorry it took a week, but trolley chaos etc.The excitement of the cheese counter and a "Special Offer" on Bolivian Grain Mustard must have distracted me! Anyhow I have sent you a letter today - yes its about time you paid back that £1 you lost at spoof aged 6yrs.If necessary play those bears at cards for money. Has to to be an earner!
Don't cheat, they're only little fellas!
Off to build an eco-friendly tyre and banana recyling factory in the garden. Must go! Tempus fugit- as they say down our way!

Hi Laura

Thinking of you whilst looking out of my window at the rain - hope its sunny and warm with you. Hope you not got too many blisters whilst building your rangers hut - you might think of becoming a builder or joiner when you return home? Or maybe not!
Alls well at home and we still have not heard much from uni yet - maybe this week. Bond sends his love - woof woof. Emma rang today for the first time in two weeks and she seems to be having fun but very tiring. Anyway take car and continue having fun. love mum and dad

Hi Catherine - it all looks wonderful from the photos. I hope the coral cut on your foot is clearing up - it sounds rather painful. Col is covered in gashes and scars from various underwater things - once it was from fire coral - well named apparently! love Sue

Hi Cat, the photos show a fun time is being had by all, hope you are enjoying your adventure with Alpha 3. Are you are counting the butterflies for me :) I went on a butterfly hunt this afternoon and managed a photo of a green woodpecker for my blog. I expect you are seeing far more exotic creatures out there, looking forward to hearing all about it when you return. Carry on having fun while it lasts…

Hello you!

I'd like to say my Summer is as exciting as yours....but err no. Your Facebook messages once again made me smile like an absolute loon! I can't believe you've got beaten at duck duck goose!!! I'm sensing some much needed practice when you're home! It is a much needed life skill.

I never was planning on challenging you to an arm wrestle...but if I ever try (obv in a drubken state) I know you will beat me!

Sounds like you're having a really good time - well a rewarding time. at least the cement floor was nice and sturdy without lumps! We'll have a serious pizza pig-out when you're back. Promise!!! And I love the fact you are mad animal lady - it is so very you!

Well done avoiding chicken pox, and hopefully keeping well. The place where you are currently in sounds fabulous! And I am officially jealous!

Nout much going on my end - I have my first official on the road driving lesson next week (I think you being in Borneo is a safe enough distance...), seen both Jess and Ellie and did all the touristy Brighton things (although leaving the clubbing for when you and Lydia come down). Errr I now work on childrenswear (you can imagine my joy at this) but I got a promotion (but not a pay rise...I'm still wondering how I got stung with that one) which is something...I think.

Really hope you've hugged a monkey! Miss you lots!

Jade xxxxxxxxxxxx

P.S - stop being so camera shy, I want to see what you're doing (it's like facebook stalking...but not :-P )

Hi sweetheart hope you are well. It was great to talk to you for a bit during the change over period.

I am missing you and thinking of you as always. Not much has really happened here since we last spoke. Me and mike went to the cinema to see Inception, this is a complete mind test of a movie.

I start my job on Friday I am nervous but excited. I have my test on Thursday, which I have been preparing for doing mock test with my instructor. Good news is that I haven't failed one yet. Also I haven't had my degree breakdown yet, as soon as I get it I will tell you. I have started writing your letter, I am just filling it with stuff that will be worth the read. I love you daring and can't wait till I talk to you next xxxxxxxxx. Speak to you soon.

All My Love Gary

Hi Babes!
I received your unexpected (and very neatly addressed!) letter today, as did Gary, who passed on your homecoming requests. There is only one thing on that list that I've had myself, so far, so don't feel that you are missing out too much! It was GREAT to get the letter, which seems to have taken less than a week to get here! It made me both smile and cry!
Letter no. 3 is in the post to you.
I do hope that the team that you are in for the second section are getting on well. I trust that you are taking your multivits to help compensate for the limited food types available.
Loads of love from Mum xxx

Hey Cat, just thought I'd leave a message saying how umbelievably jealous I am of you at the moment. Gary has filled me in on some things and it sounds like you're having a great time, and it must be pretty rewarding as well. Gary keeps ringing me and crying. He's like a lost puppy...that's dying. I may be exaggerating. I took him to see Toy Story 3 just to shut him up...and also because I wanted to see Toy Story 3. Anyway your return is fast approaching already so I'll look forward to catching up with you and you can tell me all about it. Take care.

You are evidently one of the most popular people :-P you'll be messaged to death before you know it!

This is only a quick one to fill you in. Ok so me and Rice are actually a couple like thing whats-it-called. Done the whole meeting the parents thing and I saw all the boys on Tues, everyone's missing you.

Feel free to gloat. And I expect your bill in the post :-P I do owe you big time. Rather happy right now. You officially win pimp-my-jade (least you know what that is and can explain to others that a) you're not an actual pimp and b) i'm not a woman of the evening)!

Miss you lots!
